The stay
Three ways to stay on the same quiet ridge, or take the Whole Camp for yourselves.
Facing straight down the valley. Timber walls, wood-finish floors, a proper double bed, and a private deck for morning chai.
A round canvas tent in the quieter corner of the ridge. You sleep low, on deep floor mattresses, and the bathroom is a few steps outside — private to this tent.
Every tent and the fire pit — yours alone. Seven sleep with no extras, eleven if you bring the whole lot and don’t mind extra bedding.

The location is amazing. A bit far from the lake, but totally worth it — the tents are cozy and the view is simply breathtaking.
We travel the world, and two days close to the forest surpassed our expectations. Came back with a clear mind and memories to look back on.
Calm, quiet and genuinely restful. The food is simple and delicious, and the whole place just lets you slow down.

A day on the ridge
Nothing here is compulsory. Most guests do the first four and skip the rest, which is the right answer.
Check in 1pm · check out 11am
Want the days planned? Tell us what you like doing, or not doing, and we’ll draw up a plan for your stay: walks, a day trip to the lakes, or nothing at all. Ask on WhatsApp.
In every tent there’s a field journal. Write one line about today. Some of the best reviews we’ve had never made it online.
Ways to come to Bhimtal
The food, the dog, the whole camp, a week of work: open whichever applies.
Our kitchen cooks simple, hearty mountain food with much of it grown in the village: rajma, mandua roti, chai the way it should taste. Breakfast is ₹350 a head, a day; dinner on request. Tell us about dietary needs when you book. There’s also a shared kitchen if you’d rather cook.
See the menu →No pet fee, no deposit, no size limit, and they sleep in your tent. It’s an open hillside with a drop at the edge, so keep them on a lead until they know the place, and check paws after July walks. Tell us you’re bringing one.
Everything for dogs →Book the Whole Camp and the ridge is yours: seven sleep with no extras, eleven with extra beds. Families, small team offsites, yoga or writing retreats. A 50% advance confirms it, and the advance is refunded in full up to 14 days before arrival.
Plan a retreat on WhatsApp → Retreat terms →Wi-Fi with power backup, a proper desk and chair in each Swiss Glamp, and breakfast brought to the tent. Weekday nights are our quietest and cheapest. Ask for today’s speed test before you book, and ask about longer stays.
Working from DugDug →Leave Friday, arrive for the Sunset Sit, and let the weekend be the fire, the valley and a village walk. Long weekends are peak nights and go first.
The Slow Weekend →Book the Whole Camp and nobody else is there, or take one tent and we’ll find you a corner of the ridge. Tell us what you’re picturing and we’ll say honestly what we can do.
The Sunset Question →The Sunset Sit, a Gaon Walk, forest paths from the camp; Bhimtal Lake 25 minutes away; Naukuchiatal and Nainital as day trips; and adventures with DugDug further out.
Things to do →March to June and September to November for clear air; monsoon for rain on canvas and cloud in the valley; winter for cold nights, clear skies and a fire every evening.

The setting
We're on a ridge above Bhimtal, past the last house, where the pine takes over. The lake is a drive away, not a walk. What's outside your tent instead is the valley, the forest, and a sky with nothing in it. Only three tents, by design.
See where you'll sleep →The comfort
Wood-finish floors, fresh linen, hot water and a bathroom that’s yours alone — a double bed in the Swiss Glamps, deep floor mattresses in the Bell Tent. Wi-Fi and power backup if you need to stay reachable, and a kitchen cooking simple, hearty mountain food. Come to switch off — you just won't have to rough it to do so.
Browse the tents →The place
Built with Jangalia Gaon, not just beside it — local hands, local produce, and guided walks with people who grew up in these forests. Every stay leaves a little behind in the village.

The neighbours who built the camp, lead the walks and grow a good part of what’s on your plate.
Getting here
Seven hours from Delhi, the last few kilometres slow and rough but fine in a normal car. There are two roads up — take the one through Bhimtal, not the hairpins. We send a pin and a clip of the final turn when you book.
